Green Teen Event at the Eco Age Store in London
The
Green Teen Event was held at
Eco Age in Chiswick, London, on Saturday the 10th October. Eco age is a store like no other; not just a shop it provides a showroom for small eco brands as well as offering consultancy services to those wishing to lead a greener more energy efficient way of life. The store is a family project with Founder Nicola Giuggioli working closely with his sister Livia Firth and brother Alessandro Giuggioli.
This month Eco Age has opened its doors to some ethical brands aimed at Teenagers and
Organic Young! by
Green People was one of the lucky few to be involved. Other brands included Dr Stuarts herbal tea, MADE jewellery and Nahui Ollin bags. To mark the new teenage showcase in store the Green Teen Event was held on Saturday the 10th with a guest list of local teenagers interested in all things green!
Organic Young! took centre stage with their fantastic skin care products.
Sandra Vøhtz- Petersen aged only 16 was the driving force behind the range and was on hand throughout the day to talk people through the products and all their fantastic benefits. Everyone fell in love with the new range and couldn’t wait to snap up some products for themselves! As an extra treat guests were given personal skin consultations and a goody bag full of Oy! samples and natural goodies from Dr Stuarts, Conscious Foods and Laidback Liquorice.
Happy shoppers got to mingle with some
star guests, Colin Firth a partner of the store turned up to show his support along with
Nicholas Hoult who you may remember from Skins on Channel 4! Both guys spent the day driving up and down Chiswick High Road testing out some Electric Scooters! These scooters provide a great way to travel around without polluting the environment; just don’t forget to charge it up before you head out!
Tara Starlet held a question and answer session based on the recent BBC documentary she featured in,
‘Blood Sweat and T-shirts’. Along with 5 other fashion fanatics Tara swapped her shopping trips for working in India’s cotton fields and clothes factories to see what’s really going on behind the scenes of the fashion world. With some alarming tales to tell her story really makes you believe that ethical fashion is the only way to shop with a conscience! Tara has now launched her own fashion label,
Tara Starlet, with vintage inspired pieces all ethically produced in Britain to ensure her carbon footprint stays as small as possible.
Everyone attending had the chance to win an Organic Young! hamper filled with all the Oy! products and some herbal teas from Dr Stuarts. The lucky winner will be announced shortly and we have some cosy Oy! hoodies for the lucky runners up.
Once again
Organic Young! had a fantastic day out teaching everyone about the benefits of using Oy!’s certified organic skin care products!
